We are especially mindful that many of our Jewish residents have experienced painful, even extreme, anti-Semitism in their earlier years. Some are Holocaust survivors. We present sensitivity training programs for all staff to heighten their positive awareness of the cultural struggles and life-long challenges their residents may have faced.

Holiday Observations

Daughters of Sarah Senior Community places the well-being and appropriate stimulation of all its residents as its highest priority, and in accordance with our Jewish ethos, we do all we can to help our residents and their families experience quality time together during the year and especially at holiday time. Family members and other visitors are welcome to bring outside food and non-Jewish holiday decorations into resident rooms for enjoyment there.
