Daughters of Sarah Jewish Foundation has many giving opportunities, including:

• Legacy of Caring Annual Fund - Contributions at any level make a difference in Daughters of Sarah’s ability to safeguard our elders and provide a culturally respectful living environment for men and women of all faiths. Please feel free to download the donor society benefits or donate online here.

• Planned Giving through Sarah’s Legacy -

Sarah’s Legacy is a new initiative whereby you can pledge to stabilize and strengthen the Senior Community by designating Daughter of Sarah as the beneficiary of a bequest, trust, life insurance policy, IRA account or other planned giving option. Through a pledge for the future, your legacy of generosity – in any amount you care to designate – will be sure to help future generations of elderly men and women who will rely on Daughters of Sarah.
For more information, please call or email Jane Ginsburg, at (518) 724-3260 or foundation@daughtersofsarah.org.

• Golden Book - You can make a gift ($10 minimum contribution suggested) in honor of a special event or in memory of a family member or beloved friend. Your name and that of the person(s) being honored/memorialized will appear in the Golden Book section of the Jewish World. The person(s) being honored, or the family of the person(s) being memorialized will receive notice of the gift along with the donor's name. Please feel free to download the Golden Book Donation Form or donate online here.

• Yahrzeit Plaques - You can purchase for $500 a plaque engraved with a loved one’s English and Hebrew names and English and Hebrew date of death. The plaque will be mounted on the Daughters of Sarah synagogue wall. The honoree’s yahrzeit will be commemorated at the Nursing Center in perpetuity by:

• Reminder letters sent to plaque donors and others designated by the donor a month in advance of the yahrzeit date, informing them of the English date corresponding to the Hebrew yahrzeit date for that year.

• Illumination of the light next to the honoree’s plaque.

• Recitation of the mourner’s kaddish in the honoree's memory at the Shabbat service immediately preceding the actual yahrzeit date.

• Recitation of the mourner’s kaddish and the yizkor prayers at Yom Kippur, Shemini Atseret, Passover and Shavuot services in the honoree’s memory.

• Printing of the honoree’s name in the front section of the Book of Remembrance, which is published for Yom Kippur and Passover and is available in the Daughters of Sarah synagogue.
