Daughters of Sarah Auxiliary is a special affiliate of the Foundation. The Auxiliary raises money to enhance the life of the residents at Daughters of Sarah Senior Community.
Prior to 1994, Albany, Schenectady and Troy each maintained separate Auxiliaries. In 1994, these groups merged to form the present single Auxiliary.

Membership
You can become a member of the Auxiliary, whether you are female or male, by paying yearly dues of $18 (In 2008, yearly dues will be increased to $25) or you can become a life member for a one-time dues payment of $150 (In 2008, lifetime dues will be increased to $175).

Through fundraising, the Auxiliary has provided the Nursing Center with:
• Wheelchair-accessible dining room tables
• Wheelchairs
• Geriatric chairs
• Sewing machines for mending
• Bulletin boards for resident rooms
• Electric beds
• A new music system to ensure pleasant music in the Red and Green units’ dining room and other living areas
The Auxiliary also contributed $200,000 to the Capital and Endowment Campaign, which provided furnishings for the renovated Nursing Center.
• Esther S. Gordon Tree of Life
One of the ways the Auxiliary raises funds is through the Tree of Life, located in the Rosner Lobby.
